This is been around since I was in high school but needs an update.

I know they took out the carpet and that's a good thing because it started to smell like feet and popcorn back in the '90s.

Portions have seemed to be slightly smaller than I remember but still a staple for Rowland heights. There's some New kids on the block which they need to compete with so I suggest they start competing.

I'm not sure if the owners changed but they need to get their stuff in order cuz not even half a mile away there are two or three places trying to take their customers.

I'll root for the "Lobby" because it's nostalgic and we go way back!!!

Almost forgot about this place. Been coming here for a long time. It's not in my city but not too far away in Hacienda Heights.  Great Japanese food and has not changed since I remembered it.  It does get busy here.  I had the combo meal.  It was was delicious.  My dad had the raw fish chidashi bowl which looked good and the fish was fresh & tasty.  He enjoyed his meal. It came with 12 pieces of raw fish.  It is on the pricey side but worth it.  We will definitely be coming back.  My children were small and remember this place & want to come here when they visit as well.
**They just need to be abit more attentive and check in on their tables. I could have used more hot water for my tea.  A smile goes a long way!

This place has been around ever since I was a child. They have plenty of bento options to choose from. What I ordered was the beef and chicken teriyaki combo, and I was satisfied with it. They were not stingy with the beef and chicken slices. Although the workers were not as attentive they were still nice and professional. They also seated us at a table with lots of room, which definitely made dinning here more comfortable.

Tokyo Lobby has been a permanent fixture in the community.  It has changed hands, but the menu is virtually the same for over 35+ years.  The portions are huge and you'll never leave hungry.  The restaurant is huge and the service is efficient and polite.  Our favorite is the beef rib eye teriyaki with tempura and pork katsu and hot green tea.

You know when you have memories of a place and you're worried the reality won't live up to your nostalgic expectations?  Well Tokyo Lobby is even better than I remember!!!!

I used to come here with my parents on the way back to LA from apple picking once a year since the early 90s. It's been at least a decade if not two since I've been back and it did not disappoint in the least - it's still so good!!

Food: I remembered the chicken teriyaki as the best I've ever had and this is still the case! The chicken is so moist moist (even the white meat!) and the teriyaki sauce is to die for, I want to put it on everything!  And I don't even usually like teriyaki all that much at other places! The boats are such a great deal - so much food and super reasonably priced for the boat itself plus the soup, salad, rice and ice cream that come with it!  They really know how to use their fryer - their tempura is so crisp and piping hot. Sushi roll was yummy too!

The service was super fast and friendly, and the ambiance is casual but nice and clean and fun (love the paper lanterns and wooden booths. I can't believe it still looks the way I remember it and yet kept up great and in good shape, not tired or sad)

Parking is easy in the strip mall lot and a quick hop to the freeway (for those of us that don't live nearby- sadly, if only i was closer!).

It's so good we're planning to make the trek out just to eat here again soon!  Im so happy it's still in business and still so so delicious! I'm severely regretting not getting an order of chicken teriyaki to go for later......

My friend picked this restaurant out because she's always eats here at least once every two weeks.

Quaint decor as you walk inside.   We were immediately seated in a booth.

Since it was our first time, we took a few minutes to take a look at their vast selections.

I got #38 and requested all the meat to be salmon, which they graciously obliged.

My friend ordered her usual, # G, lunch with New York steak, chicken and other item.  My other friend ordered the fried shrimp sushi.  The bento plate and my meal came with miso soup which was delicious.  Mine also had the side salad.  The meal itself was so good and filling.  Everyone enjoyed what they ordered.

Would we come back?  Yes most definitely.

We came for dinner as it's been about 15 years since the last visit! We both ordered the Beef Teriyaki and Tempura! It was pretty good plenty of food! The restaurant was still about the same as I remember with the tables and booths almost in the same place! The only thing i would recommend is the service needs to pick it up a little and check on there customers to see if all is good!
